Parkview Charity Christmas Market The 2011 Christmas Market at the George Hay Park, Parkview (opposite St Columbus Church) has become an institution over the last 3 years. There are over 70 stands to visit – so lots of opportunity for Christmas shopping. With lots of entertainment for both young and old, the market provides a wonderful opportunity for family and friends to spend time together. And there are plenty of meeting places to relax with a tea garden, oyster and champagne bar and a pub.  Fri 25 Nov 3 – 10 pm; Sat 26 Nov 10 am – 10 pm and Sun 27 Nov 10-4.   Entrance fee for adults is R30 and Kids pay per activity

Bryanston Organic Village Market is open every Tuesday evening (5-9pm)  from now until the 20th December.  Apart from always offering fabulous food goodies, unusual gift ideas and great natural fibre clothing, the evening markets have a very special feel. Full moon in December is on the 10th so the Tuesdays either side will be moonlit markets.  Enjoy!

Carols by Candlight at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens in Roodepoort on December 3rd with the Mzansi Youth Choir. You are asked to bring along items for donation, such as clothing, toys, soaps and canned food.

Carols by Candlelight Zoo Lake Thursday 24th November. If the Joburg weather doesn’t join in the Christmas spirit, the event will be moved to the next day, 25 November, at the same time.

Have a guest coming up from Mpumalanga to stay at  http://www.lizatlancaster.co.za. She is bringing crafts to the Bryanston Organic Market and also to the Parkview Market in George Hay Park. So looking forward to seeing the work of her community organization.
