Joburg Heritage Foundation 2nd Quarter programme

By now followers will be getting to know that I am the QoG aka Queen of Grids. I make sense of things in overall summaries either through spider diagrams (initial creative explorations) or through grids (final arrangements). I’m also passionate about exploring Jozi in all its grittiness and mad contrasts; and Jozi heritage is one of my many passions. So below is a conflation of all 3.
Joburg Heritage is an amazing organization which does sterling work. It lobbies for protecting heritage and buildings and spaces of historic significance; and it runs many fascinating tours of little known areas of Joburg. Here is the summary of their 2nd quarter programme. BUT …. with my new blog layout and formatting, grids don’t translate so well … it looks horrible! But it does give a summary of When, Where, Who and How.
The first tour is a night your of the city centre tomorrow evening. This tour will provide great photo opportunities of the Edwardian streetscape on Harrison and Fox, various art deco building and 44 Main St under night illuminations. Plus enjoy a drink at the Rand Club which is said to have the longest bar in Africa!
Please check their website to flesh out the full details of each tour and what will be covered.
Unless otherwise indicated all tours are 3 hours long and cost R150 for non-members.
