Social distancing with style

These are challenging times for us all. Things are moving at such speed with COVID-I9. One of the things that has become apparent is that there might be households where families need to physically separate in order to protect at-risk individuals.  But where to go for voluntary social distancing? Liz at Lancaster has set aside space at very reduced rates for those who need to “hole up’ until things have settled down. All these units have their own separate entrances, private enclosed courtyards and are self-contained with kitchenettes so there would be the option of self-catering through buying-in supplies. If required, we can offer meals, prepared and served following strict hygiene guidelines.

While no non-medical facility can be entirely sterile, we have already implemented further stringent sanitizing routines for touch surfaces like the intercom buttons at the gate, remotes, intercom receivers, door handles, and of course kitchen surfaces etc.  All staff will be undergoing professional training in hygiene control and precautionary measures.

And maybe we should be thinking about this as physical distancing rather than social distancing because with free hi-speed 50 meg fibre optic anybody can stay in touch with family, friends and work.

All that you need to ‘hole up’ for a couple of weeks.

  1. Great idea, Liz. Well done. Liz-at-Lancaster lends itself beautifully to this! Love that you’re even sanitising intercom keypads – the sort of place that’s generally overlooked.
