Several courses have hosted the S.A Open as well as the PGA. The Houghton course is a Jack Nicklaus signature course. Most of these clubs allow non-members to play during the week. Only the Johannesburg Country Club requires a non-member to be accompanied by a member.

SA Golfing books the tee times and provides transport to and from Liz at Lancaster. Cost of a day golf excursion starts from R750. The cost includes:
- return transport
- booking fees
- green fees
- golf club hire.
The cost excludes:
- caddies
- halfway house
- golf carts & pull carts
- drinks
Out of town golf destinations
Tim uses a lot of local courses as well as various stunning courses further afield:
- the Gary Player golf course at Sun City
- the Lost City golf course, also Sun city
- The Pecanwood golf course at Hartebeespoort dam.
